For me, it was easy because I waited until I was older to really consider the whole 'marry her' thing. I didn't let many women get 'that' close to me. Date them, keep that at arms length, scared to commit because 'the one' might be around the corner.

All that told me was that uncertainty I felt was justified and I should keep looking.

Then it was easy because my wife and I spent time talking and not just fukking at the beginning and fully understanding what the other person 'really' cared about, not some surface level shyt.

We had the same morals, similar upbringings, a definitive desire to have children/ how we'd raise them, etc.

Plus, I got a kidney stone when we were first dating and she drove me to the hospital and stayed with me rubbing my feet while I went through all that.

To me the whole notion of "the one" is just silly, simple numbers say there's plenty of people out there for you.
