You don't live day to day thinking about misery and moping about it. Sounds dismissive but as a general rule, for all aspects of life, you need to put your focus on what YOU can control. You can't control racists. You cant control what the next man does. What you can control is make an assessment of your situation and basically making a mental checklist of where you want to be, where you're starting from, and what you need be doing to move forward. Not everyone is going to start at the same place because life is inherently unfair and unjust. So, like most black folks know, we have to work twice as hard for the same benefits because the deck is stacked against us.
If you sit around and obsess over the unfairness of life, you'll never progress. Not saying you can't acknowledge it but a huge part of your motivation and living is affected by the mental. If you are mentally in the dumps for whatever reason, it will impact your ability to progress in life.
