11 is the best. I’d put 8 right under it. Followed by 13 and 12.
12 has its detractors but I love it. I acknowledge it’s not everyone’s jam but the tone works for me along with it just being a completely different movie. And I think the dialogue is some of the best in the oceans movies. 13 is fun but plays it safe. 8 is awesome and brings a different vibe but with just as interesting characters and dynamics.
But 11 is a perfect movie. From start to finish. It’s how you do a cool heist movie without trying to be cool that’s that. It’s basically set the template for everything going forward in this genre. Even the music. But the dialogue is just so damn good.

There’s a Tupac gif to summarize how I feel about you negging me if you disagree with my opinion. It’s from Above The Rim...
But I love 8 because rather than 12 and 13, which take the formula and just repurpose it, 8 creates its own. It uses some of the same visual language obviously but it uses different music at times while creating very interesting characters and is just as smart as 11. 13 loses points because it feels like a remake of 11 and 12 can feel like an exercise in watching rich people overseas; 8 like 11, has an emotional pull to it and you also get to see these people become friends and form a bond. And none of it feels forced. Also the twists in 8 are dope.
