How do you react to being complimented on being "well-spoken"?

You need to be more specific breh... it's one thing to be complimented for being well spoken, it's a completely different thing to be complimented for being well spoken in regards to other blacks,latinos etc.

My parents got in this car wreck a few years ago....they sued the guy, they actually brought me in as a character witness (To talk about how the accident affected them and shyt).

Our lawyer kept emphasizing how my me and my mother had a college degree, and how we were middle class, and how no criminal record, and all this other shyt. I'm thinking the Westbrook face like you....but I later realized....he's trying to enamor us to the (all white, of course ) jury. These aren't your everyday ******s, these are educated ******s.

It's shyt....but I understand it. White people are so god damn evil that you have to literally spell out to them that black people can be regular humans....otherwise, they see you as a "wild criminal beast".

I loathe that shyt. When I was in school I'd get called on to read out loud and always get "where did you learn to read so well". I'm of Mexican descent so these cac teachers couldn't fathom how it was possible.

One other incident was a report I did, bytch ass teacher thought somebody wrote it for me cause I used "big" words.
