Setting new goals.

Setting new goals.

Only time I ever reinvented myself I had to be drastically different. I'm talking to the point where I wanted to cry and tap out lol.
Change is hard man. Much harder when you want to but don't have to.
I'd say examine your circle, the places you spend time and how much, only start if you will see it through.
For me, when I quick smoking weed which had me in this state where I wasn't motivated to do any better for myself. My chick had left me. Got fired. Failed out of school. Was back in my hometown with nobody productive to kick it with. No money. Had to move back in with parents. Gained about 30 lbs.
The most crucial thing is to focus less on what to do as it's not always clear. But remove what not to do. I stopped getting high and sitting in the crib. I stopped hanging with some of my homies who enabled me. Dropped the cigs. Stopped trying to get my old chick back. Stopped partying so much. Etc. once you knock out bad habits, focus on never being home and pouring into some type of activity m at least 80% of the day. You should be exhausted by night. Crash early, rise early.
I've never felt the urge to do this whole reinvent myself thing, but, I'd guess it would HAVE to, at the very least, start with your mental?
Change/reinvent the way you think, your perspective on things, and everything else should follow.
Totally reinventing yourself for the better is a lifestyle change. You have to rewire your brain which is one of the hardest tasks you will ever do.
First step is identifying what you have a problem with.
Are you reinventing your body? Trying to become more adept in social situations? Trying to kick a bad habit?
Without openly ID'ing the crux of your issue, the concept of reinvention is moot.
First, you have to decide what it is you want to become, and why.
Once you've got that figured out, you need to put together a plan for how you're going to get there. You need to give yourself realistic, achievable, and measureable milestones to reach and a time frame for when you want to reach them.
You need to be organized and you need to be focused.
It's really not that hard once you get your plan together. Then it's just a matter of taking a few steps toward your goal every week and before you know it, you'll be where you want to be.
I create a chart on a word document with
-goals
-why
-how
Then I transfer them onto my calendar so that I have a visual reminder everyday. I usually do this twice a year. I don't really follow the "new year new me" motto because it prevents me from being proactive.
1. Legally change your name.
2. Kill everyone who knew you by your original name.
3. Don't be like you used to be.
4. Eat.
