One strap on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a heavier load, so I strap it up on both shoulders those days.

I can't lie, I wear a bookbag now to this day. I damn near feel naked without it. But I started doing that when I used to ride my motorcycle. I didn't have enough room in my back compartment for everything I needed so I wore my backpack and just kept it up. Call me a square but to me it's more comfortable to wear it with 2 straps to even out the weight.

I have to carry a bookbag for work (carry ppe). I definitely rock 2 straps.

Pull strings down evenly
Weight on the Upperback not lower
Never carried anything in my backpack that would mess up it's shape.
If so I kept that stuff in my hand.
Sometimes I even tied the strings
