Global industrial civilization will probably collapse within the next 20 to 50 years if not sooner. We are undergoing a ecological meltdown fueled by climate change and our general reckless exploitation on the environment. We as a species have seem to forgotten that we are mammals and are dependent on the natural world just as the millions of other species that share this planet.
There will be massive food shortages, severe weather outbreaks, and a global refugee crises unlike anything we've ever witnessed.
Unless we develop some miraculous technology that we can scale up and save our environment, I really do not envision a future that isn't grim and bleek. However, humans are a resilient species so I have a small glimmer of hope that we'll be able to prevent ourselves from going completely extinct.
In the short term I expect nationalist and populist movements to continue to rise all over the world. The sentiment behind these movements will be exacerbated by the effects of climate change. People will slowly start to come to terms with the fact that our capitalist way of life has been a complete sham and thay we've all be disillusioned.

200 yrs (2220 AD) from now in America I THINK the country would have collapsed and began reviving itself and foraging a new societal "culture" maybe even a name change. I THINK majority of the population will be Hispanic & Asian with a smaller black affluent population.

I do believe African Americans will be immigrants in a lot of different countries & thriving (primarily Asian & African continents) , decreasing our numbers in America due to the collapse and the aftermath. The ones who could stay here (financial) will, and would probably be rebuilding the black community here unlike ever before.

And the future generations of American black people will shame us as the "dark ages" in their history books, like we WOULD'VE done if we had a online record of our people who came before us sharing their thoughts, self made videos, and pictures on social media. (We already kind of do that, which is why people on Twitter usually scrub their Twitter accts from the years of 2012-15 Cause of their blatant c00nery/ assimilated ideals)

I'm only speaking on what I THINK our collective future will be in America. And it will be bright yet trying for us as a people.

I certainly hope its further away than 50 years. I have high doubts and for good reason. If we experience an ice free artic/blue ocean event, we'll be essentially fukked. There are some scientists who say this could occur within the next 5 years. I think even the possibility of our way of life extending beyond 20 years is overly optimisitc to be quite honest.

To fully know and understand the predicament of our planet and species while everyone seems to be caught up in their day to day lives perturbs me. Whenever I've brought this topic up in social settings I just get blank stares. Most people simply aren't capable of thinking on such large scales. Our ecological crisis is so large and difficult for people to comprehend. It's ramifications has and will manifest in a myriad of different ways (from increased conflicts/wars to hikes in global food prices) and most people wont be able to connect the dots and identify the underlying culprit. And the underlying culprit is our civilization itself.
