Technology.. a Double edge sword.

Its all fun to imagine to robots serving fast food and doing checkouts.

Its also kills jobs people use to make a living.

At the rate things are going your probably going to have a lost generation so to speak that struggles cause there are too many people with not enough jobs to support a livable wage.

Government might then have to step in and implementing new regulations...:mjpls:

I doubt anyone here can answer that. If anyone here has ever played civilization, they should know America will never fail. :mjlol: Either way, there are much more important problems that we will face in the next 100+ years. This planet won't be inhabitable forever. lol The real question is how long do you think our species will last?

The only way America would fall would be if somehow the US dollar became dirt then I think China , Russia and Iran would hit us America would sustain after those attacks but the war that would happen after would bring us down unless we go into the total war mindset and not trying to win hearts and minds. We would have to seize territory and industry and turn it over to support ourselves that's the only way we would win.

Assuming by "America" you mean the United States and not the entire continent, I believe the union will eventually just break up.

Few states will separate and become their own separate countries thus rending the union as we know it weaker.

Face it, the only reason the U.S. is so strong is because you have the resources of 50 decent sized states/countries put together. Financial and all other resources combined makes a great unit.
What goes up must come down, clones So.... divide and conquer. :manny:
Divide that unit and all the sudden you have a bunch of not-so-powerful states fighting and competing with, not only foreign influences and enemies but also each other

"Fall" is not how I would describe it, but the political and economical landscape will change at some point . Depending on how powerful corporations become, I think the following will occur:

"And here it becomes evident that the bourgeoisie is unfit any longer to be the ruling class in society and to impose its conditions of existence upon society as an over-riding law. It is unfit to rule because it is incompetent to assure an existence to its slave within his slavery, because it cannot help letting him sink into such a state that it has to feed him instead of being fed by him. Society can no longer live under this bourgeoisie; in other words, its existence is no longer compatible with society.

The essential condition for the existence, and for the sway of the bourgeois class, is the formation and augmentation of capital; the condition for capital is wage-labor. Wage-labor rests exclusively on competition between the laborers. The advance of industry, whose involuntary promoter is the bourgeoisie, replaces the isolation of the laborers, due to competition, by their revolutionary combination, due to association. The development of modern industry, therefore, cuts from under its feet the very foundation on which the bourgeoisie produces and appropriates products. What the bourgeoisie therefore produces, above all, are its own grave diggers. Its fall and the victory of the proletariat are equally inevitable."
