Personally the scenario I think about is the US, and China, Russia and all the other European powers beating each other to the point where they all get so weak that the only remaining thriving societies are those of Africa, where it all started thousands of years ago.

Many of the powerful civilizations we knew of in the past eventually ceased to exist, didn't they? The Mayas and Incas of this land we call America right now. The Ottoman Empire. The Roman Empire. Egypt and other African societies have all been weakened or eventually disloved.

Thu why my bet is on the states separating and becoming their own countries. Because there is one thing I know, doggy: You can always count on humans and their greed for power.

It really has started already- when the porr and middle class and upper middle class realize we are al lpoor and slaves working for the top 2% our justice system, school system, and economy, even military are all based on the poor and middle sacrificiing for the rich-- once we wake up this country wont last long- maybe another 100 or 200 years max

Yep. America is mental illness run amuck. All of the Ritalin babies are now Adderoll adults. Everyone is either on some psychotropic drug/anti depressant if they don't self medicate with alcohol and street drugs. Kids are dumb as fukk and 50 year olds act like Peter Pan. People are working poor and people can't maintain functional/healthy relationships. Babies are born into the world with10K in hospital debt. And God forbid if some type of catastrophe happens and folks can't get their Wellbutrin via mail order/express scripts. Everyone is fat and sick and ignorant - walking dead. Give America 100 years tops. I have my spaceship, ammo and years worth of Juice Plus capsules ready.

Look at all the military action in the Middle East. Britain, Germany, France, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Israel, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, U.A.E and China have a significant military presence based on what's happening in Syria. Most of the world powers are concentrated in a small area trying to determine the fate of ONE country. War is an inevitability.

If a global conflagration was to break out, the possibility of our economy withstanding the sudden shock of frozen trade, high oil, etc.. would more than likely tip the financial markets into the abyss. I'm not going to go into too much detail but there are VERY specific plans for the majority of us to be corralled into tightly controlled units across the country.. If the economy broke down or total war broke out..Those with certain specialized skills (doctors, scientists, engineers, etc..)would be separated, the rest placed into what would be called "refuges" to us but really internment camps..Look up the history of this happening to us during the civil war when we were put into camps as "contraband".

Economy. When the US defaults, all other economies will start to fail.
The US owes China a lot of money, and when the US defaults, then China's economy will start failing.
There's going to be a lot less commerce when countries can't pay back countries and businesses can't pay businesses.
In the US, all the consumer goods that we have been importing from China are going to be either unavailable or very costly. On top of that, inflation is going to go through the roof.

It's going to become a weird Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome situation.
A revolt or uprising will come from the middle class, who have become poor. At that point, the US government won't be able to pay their own employees so there's going to be a big layoff there. Those who still have jobs will have earnings that don't mean anything. The majority of the military who are paid under X dollars a year are looking at not being able to pay their own bills like a car payment or whatever. The government will try to control the uprising with a military response to protect government buildings and politicians. But that's going to backfire when there's a military coup d'etat.
The middle class uprising plus military coup d'etat will remove elected politicians. The US President won't be able to flee considering he's protected by the US Secret Service and the US military. You can't fly Air Force One without pilots.

If you have kids, it's going to be awful. People will try to escape to Mexico or Canada, but it would be like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Agree to disagree on this one, the world is soooo interconnected in comparison than past civilizations, which was isolated in comparison to today world, what i am saying the whole world would be affected. From a African person point of view, and since we do business outside our region "with said" countries and superpowers, it would definitely have an effect. Because no region on earth is a isolated island anymore, unless you are a small Amerindian tribe in the Amazon Bason.

America supposedly been falling off for the better part of this century and is still the richest nation in the world. Will the day come when America is no longer the richest country? Most likely given what history tells us about all great empires at some point having to move out of the way for another great empire to shine. But these are not the barbaric times of the Roman and Ottoman empires. Not saying there is not barbaric shyt going on in these times but it's nothing like back then.

America will be a world power for the entirety of our lives and most likely the entirety of the next generation or 3 lives as well.
