I think people aren’t realizing that $10 is more than federal minimum wage. Some people take home less than half of that in an hour. Imagine working 2 hours for 1 gallon of gas.

Society might start to collapse.

That is partially true. There is a reason they got the nba going during the George Floyd protests but you can only distract people for so long. Gas hitting $10 a gallon wouldn’t be in isolation. It would also include markets collapsing and mass layoffs. And the weather is getting warmer and school is about to be out.

Honestly, I think those idiots would print money and send people checks while banning oil exports. Long term inflation would still fukk us but it would keep the mobs at bay until they organize martial law or something.
