Maaan, best thing my wife did was to make sure we got a house in a walkable area. Supermarket, kids school, parks, restaurants, costco, home depot, downtown area and town train are all in walking distance. Some days and especially with good weather, I bring the kids to school via bike trailer or they scoot.

Only really drive now for long distances or if I'm in a rush. But I be eyeing my fuel guage like a mothafuka now everytime I'm at a red light.
