Honestly, that's the best way to do it, either that or go during Carnival if you want to go during an event since at least thats what the Brazilians are rocking with. The homie @dc007 did that, went during WC then again during Carnival and I think the better experience was the second time without all the foreigners but you'd have to ask him.
Just be prepared to hate coming back to the US b, the long walk in the airport on the return and the postpartum depression is too real
Oh I'm used to the depression part of it. I know my country ain't shyt.
I honestly just to write seeing the USA men's basketball team go for the gold off my sports bucket list.
If you travel enough with a Marriott or a Hilton you'll get those member points. I don't remember the last time I've actually paid for a hotel.
I like the familiarity.
To each is own though.
I'm traveling right now. I was going to go alone but the girl I asked to come (who initially declined) changed her mind "last minute". I didn't have a problem traveling alone though. I have no problem traveling alone but prefer being with others.

I would love to travel. I want to go to Art basel one yr.I used to drive or take flights to other states to get used to relying on myself for directions and safety.... It helped me get my awareness of my surroundings up... Once I was used to the reactions of people (a table for one?), I ventured further and further out
Mind you, I started at 27 after a bunch of cancelations from friends for travel.... After that I promised myself that I wasn't going to let company, or lack there of, stop me
I know traveling with a bunch of women is annoying just going out with a bunch of women is annoying. You got people picky about where they want to eat, stank attitudes, complainers etc

Traveling alone can be great. Your own schedule, choice of food, things to see, etc. I've found that you're more likely to meet/hang with locals when you're alone...which can take your trip to the next level. I've had some of the most memorable travel experiences with random ppl I met in bars. American black dudes stick out almost everywhere in the world...so I just get a drink, post up, and eventually someone will ask "where are you from?"
