How do your parents split finaces in your household

My dad paid most of the bills, My mom paid some stuff. I know that they have joint checking and savings. They also have other accounts in not sure how it is all set up.

They split it. I think moms pays the mortgage mainly and pops handles the other bills. He pays the cable and electricity cuz he's always complaining about the uverse bill or when the lights are left on. As well as things like their car payments and insurance.

my wife and i have 3 checking accounts and one savings. one checking is for the bills and we each have a checking account (all under the same general account at the bank). we pay the bills with the bills account and put money in each of our checking accounts for whatever we want to buy or do individually. then any savings is going in the savings account. if i log into the online banking, i can see all of the accounts at a glance. been doing it for 12 years now. no problems so far.

I handle ALL the finances, balance checkbooks, pay bills, etc., but I go over all the finances with my wife and we decide, together, how to deal with expenses.

My parents aren't together anymore. Dad pays her rent and gives her allowance.

i still can't figure out what part of the game that is.

And even when my mom made money she would give the majority of it to my dad.

My fiancé said if we ever get divorced he would still pay my rent. I was like im not against it but wtf apparently some men are willing to take care of their ex-wives if they deserve it.

But anyways we have a joint account we put half our checks in and everything is automatically paid on its own.

Depends who got the $$ b/c the bills need to be paid regardless
When we first moved to the states my dad paid for everything with an entry-level job while my mom went to school
Then my mom started making good money and we were able to move on up like the Jeffersons
Now they have their own business together making 6 figures each hustling and enjoying life

I know they both have their own checking and savings accounts tho, and a joint account for bill/expenses
