If he not an rnb auto tune based artist. With some connection to the strip venue.
I would not recommend that. If he makes that type of record. With that play as an unknown, he only gets one shot.
Then it is done on all levels as that market is the most fickle to all the talent as they have no skill rubrick to adhere him to. So, he would have to payola his way to the strip club and be booked as a draw from his payola.
Then if it does not hit.
He is in trouble because that arena allows and has no technical rubrick to allow him to improve and try again.

That realm is a overprocessed commercial mainstream ready all the way package. You only get one shot in that arena as an unknown with no connection to that realm.

Which is why I said book your own venue.
At least then, you can build it to what your actual genre or draw is.
While also hopefully building a profit from said bookings as well.

basically I have the RHQ and Gunna background I went to school and was a good kid that wants to rap. I have the voice, flow and talent but im stuck on the connects part lol

I'm not in the hype beast lane at all and the music I make is influenced by what I see so my content tends towards by surroundings lol
So the internet wave aint the way for me i think

So u claim u have the talent to make it and essentially are THE rapper but we 6 pages in and you haven't even promoted your OWN MUSIC.

Breh, you just don't have the will..

Too busy typing lols then doing BASIC hustle work. If you were for real ud have SOMETHING to promote. You have to be promoting and ready 24/7.

I listened. Not for me, it’s too mainstream. It definitely has an Audience though, but I just slapped the shyt out the back of my lil cousin head for turning off my Sade and putting on Cardi B....so I’m not a good person to ask.

Subject matter: bytches, Crew, Drugs, Money

F

Voice/Tone/Flow: Monotone, Unexciting, but can catch a beat

C

Beat Choices/Overall Direction: Typical, Overplayed, ‘Done Before’.

F

Teacher’s Notes:

With that being said..since you aren’t actually bringing anything new to the table..there’s no harm in getting your music played in strip clubs. This wouldn’t work for a Kendrick/Cole type artist which you hyped yourself up with the ‘but I’m talented’ lines to be likened to, but for a Travis Porter, Playboy Cardi, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty type fanbase...buying the DJ a drink would do you good.

I'm going for mainstream with these tracks, these just some of my newer stuff.

I can't really help the monotone but I'll take the advice on the other 2 critiques

Honestly this makes me want to go harder. Now I want to prove you wrong

Make a mixtape and just hand copies out to people with your contact info. Go the old school route. People are gonna be intrigued by that hustle in 2018 and being that ATL is small it could wind up in the right persons hands. If your shyt popping enough somebody gonna get back to you especially if you look the part. Also get in with the plugged in dudes you got around the way. Move in as many circles as possible without appearing to want to be in that circle. Get as many of your homeboys as you can to make these rounds with you so it looks like you have some shyt bubbling. Appearance and persuasion is everything.

Them Lo Lifes...
Why are you trying to get connected if thats not your lane?

You seem to be looking for a cosign of "how can I be down" with no actual ties.

If you grew up in a 'hood' and local street cats vouch for you, what are you really lookin for?

Honestly I was over thinking stuff when I made this thread. The easiest option is what @Indiglow Meta (R$G) told me

Just gonna let people know I rap which tbh I haven't done

It helps to have some connections becuz they can help you get shows or get your music into the right hands. You gotta use every resource available to you. Upload your shyt to YT, SC, and stay on IG, FB, and Twitter. Hand your shyt out at the HBCUs, strip clubs, etc.

Market yourself. Ride around playing your own shyt even if your just copping some backwoods. Somebody is gonna ask who that it is

That’s me :jawalrus:
This works, too :salute:

Better yet, get a portable speaker and play your shyt in public when you're not in the whip. Put it in a backpack and when you're near a crowd, bang your shyt.
Get a G-Boom box or one of those "pill" speakers...EXTRA LOUD, HELLA BASS.
Young folks will be attracted to the bass levels "ay that shyt hittin"
Older folks gonna hear the lyrics and be like, okay, not the typical shyt...You got this, you young and nobody knows you.
