I try to buy black as much as I can but I don't see how it's helping me or the community.

Is it just so I can say "hey you see that black owned bookstore? I buy from them"?

Banking black>>>

@IbucciMane! Thoughts?

To address this post, it's pretty simple. Supporting black businesses help black businesses stay in business, and eventually grow to create more opportunities for other black folks. This is going to happen whether or not the money stays in the black community or not.

Furthermore, when black people spend their money in the black community, it helps the community grow exponentially. You buy your groceries from the black grocery store, and it creates opportunities for black people there. You buy your vehicle from the black dealership, it creates more opportunities there. You eat at black restaurants, that's even more opportunities for people of color, and so on.

By eating at a non-black restaurant, for example, you're just creating more opportunities for non black people.

Short answer: nikka YOU SEEN HOW THE ARAB AND ASIAN COMMUNITIES FLOURISH BY SUPPORTING EACH OTHER. You know better :gucci:

....
Which it doesn't. Unless the kids understand the concept and have the knowledge of how to spend money it doesn't matter. A black man who runs a business will give his money to his family. His wife will go to the Asian nail salon to get her nails done or get her weave from the Asian beauty supply store. The kids will buy Jordans and Nikes. The shyt don't matter.

"Buying black" would mean stop wearing Jordans and Nikes, wearing weaves, getting nails done, no more chinese food, pizza, no more Gucci, Louis V, no more jewelry, no more exotic cars, etc etc.... All the stuff famous black people in this country glorify and encourage other blacks to aspire for.

Not to mention "black" is just a color. It's not a culture like the Chinese, Vietnamese, Jews, Africans, Indians, Russians, etc.
please elaborate I want to be clear on what you are saying

I always support black stores. Where else would I be able to buy these?
