Kids Choice I think nothing happens, but the BET Awards . If he gets that Whitney in the 1989 Soul Train Awards treatment, he's gonna have to release heat that would rival Thank Me Later, Take Care, and his Club Paradise years.

I’ve never been a Drake fan but the best thing he could do is just lay low and don’t put anything out, no merch drops, no singles, no parodies, don’t even be tweeting trying to be witty or clever. Just don’t do anything for 6 months, drop something late December this year or even next year and his fans won’t even remember or care about the beef. I think if he totally ignored Hip Hop for a while and went straight singing and other shyt his fan base wouldn’t even blink an eye.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that he should be MIA for a while. I think the biggest issue he’s going to have going forward musically is that Kendrick painted him into a box. Essentially, characterized him as a dude that does nothing to empower the people musically, and sucks the blood out of the culture by promoting various negative aspects of the culture; a musical vampire if you will.

Drake doesn’t have Mortal Man, Dying of Thirst, Momma, etc. in his catalogue. He doesn’t make that kind of music, so if he started doing it, it would seem in-authentic. If he stays in his current vapid rap lane, he’ll further confirm Kendrick’s colonizer angle. He might just have to go alllllllll the way pop.
