Everyone is for a wealth cap until it affects them. You’re saying that Bezos could literally end world hunger. Okay, fair enough. If everyone in America gave up another 50% of their income that could also end world hunger. Are you willing to do that with money that you worked for? I’m sure some poor people would look at all the shyt you have and determine that you don’t need it either. In my opinion, you get out what you put in, and if you happen to have an idea like Amazon that changes the world and then actually manage to execute it then you get exactly what’s coming to you because you’ve earned it.

Small handful see anywhere close to 6 figures. The ones that see 6 figures are old heads who been with that company 30+ years.

They do on the east cost. Either way, 45k on the low end is a decent wage for most people and this was the first job that came to mind. There are a ton of trades you can pick from. The truth is - very few people have a real justification as to why they’re poor in this country. It’s a lot easier to say that the odds are stacked against you than actually do something. That’s why most people deflect to something else when you give them a real solution to their financial issues. They don’t want to hear that shyt. Sitting in front of the screen and bytching about what other people should do with their money gives them a nice dopamine rush, though.
