We live in a selfish capitalistic society that’s foundation is based on a lottery mentality. Just look at the folks in this thread defending someone who makes billions of dollars like that shyt isn’t fukked up on every level. This society is dependant on lap dogs like them to defend rich folks because they foolishly believe that it could be them who wins when the chance of that is extremely slim. But as long as they believe it prevents any revolution or fork of change from occurring. It’s all programming at the end of the day and people are sheep who fall for it :snoop:

If I had $165B and could liquidate it quickly and without getting taxed to death, then going by that list, I'd:
  • Give Flint Clean Water
  • Save Yemen
  • Eliminate Malaria

A wealth ceiling doesn't mean that you will suddenly have free healthcare and education.

At status quo it would just mean more money for the military :mjlol:

Not saying I'm against it, just saying a few mega billionaires are less of a problem than the actual budget.

Stop spending so much on war and overpaying contractors and you can afford a reasonable social net.

It's silly to beg individuals to give you money for social projects rather than just make the government spend the money it already collects on taking care of the people they work for.

Bezos' base salary is a modest $81,840, and his total compensation (which includes things like security and benefits) is $1,681,840.
But his insane wealth is due to the 16% stake in Amazon he owns, which alone is worth about $125 billion today.

He built a great company. Now let that man live...:snooze:
He's cooking up global goodness.

Now the replies on this tweet is everyone sucking bezo off saying “you work hard you get to play hard”...

no one NEEDS that money money, and it should be used to further society ....

Bezo’s could literally end world hunger if he felt like it

Look at all the shyt he could fix

Why isn’t the city and state governments addressing these matters?

If you want rich folks to pay then raise taxes on them.

That’s a tax shelter

He would make billions if he wasn’t dodging taxes

He's not making billions a year. Those are his assets. With all of his assets he's worth billions, he's not making billions for a salary.

If you bought a $300k house you aren't making $300k/year. If you owned 10 house all worth $1 Million total, you aren't making $1 Million/year

Y'all really should read more or something:mjlol:
