Looking past records, the east was pound for pound, the inferior conference this year, last year, and many before that. I'm not trying to take away from the feat but Lebron hasn't exactly had to beat any top tier squads this year. And historically, he's struggled mightily once he has to face one of the western teams that made it out of the gauntlet that is the western conference (2-4 Finals record)
