At 19 you are actually behind the curve if you are thinking about taking this seriously as a career. It can be done though. You are just going to have to have major determination and a strong will.

I've been in fights before, even when I was heavy, and gave nikkas hands :ehh:

I'm related to Donovan Ruddock, but not on the level of "Aye cuz, give me pointers on how to become a boxer"

Give me some tips brehs

FWIW, I'm currently 6'0 178 14% body fat and building muscle. I'm trying to get to 215 9% body fat by next summer because there's no money between HW and middleweight

How athletic are you? Are you willing to get punched and beat up for a living?

Like others have said. Go to a respectable gym in your city. Train and eventually start sparring. See if you like it, are good at it and are willing to do it for a living. Ask the trainers at the gym if you should pursue a career in the sport. And work from there.

Find a local gym and check it out. Make sure it's quality and then let them know you plan on training to fight professionally and they'll just add the extra fee to your membership to make you eligible for amateurs once you've completed training.

At 19 you'll have to work your ass off to get up to speed but you can definitely do it.

Find a gym in your area that's sponsored by a local amateur boxing program that's affiliated with "USA boxing"...that way you can box while spending little to nothing for gym access. In my area we got something called "PVA" that sponsors alot of gyms in the area...all you have to do is pay around $40 to PVA and sign up for USA boxing and you can train in any of their sponsored gyms anytime you want. Look for the equivalent in your area. The only thing is with gyms like this, the coaches in amateur catered gyms are not all that great compared to more expensive gyms, where you typically find alot of pros training in...also, VERY important...start watching ALOT of boxing. Like right now.

Go to youtube and type these names and watch ALL of fights and careers from front to back

01 - Sam Langford

After a while, you'll start picking up subtle movements in the ring, and start to notice how to set up punches, and anticipate punches. And just a whole lot of little ring intricacies...

Watching hrs & hrs of film for years on end....is part of the reason Iron Mike & James Toney looked so well-schooled & technically polished in the ring.

There's money at Light Heavyweight.

And in order to be a Boxer, you should first go into a respectable gym in your area. Ask to spar the best person there. After that sparring match, consider whether you really wanna do this or not....bc Boxing is not a game at all.

If you wish to continue forward, speak to some of the trainers in the gym, and see if they are willing to help you pursue an amateur career in Boxing before you eventually go pro

Awready :salute: to add on make it even more simple go on ya state athletic commission website fill it out, pay the fee & get a ct or cat scan submit it also. Boom you're a pro
