I’ve lived in like 17 different places. Everybody is like, how do you do it, moving to a place where you don’t know anybody? It’s simple, you just move, take a couple of weeks to learn the new area, start your new job/school, meet new friends that way. Or you can do online dating to meet some girls. Maybe find a bar or restaurant you like and meet people there. You can also use meetup (though, I’ve never tried it).

It’s easier to move the younger you are though. When you get into your mid to late 30s, finding friends is fairly difficult, as most people that age have a wife and kids.

It’s got its benefits though. Swimming in a lake vs a jacuzzi type situation. Plus, different parts of the country are vastly different. I moved from CT to Oklahoma, and that was an insane contrast; like two different worlds. I’ve lived in the desert in AZ and then in the freezing cold in Chicago.

I understand you can put roots down and have longer friendships if you stay in one place, but moving has its benefits.
