I didn't buy the African american role. But everything else he looks like he could believably be that. It's make believe anyways so i don't expect everyone to actually be what they're portraying. You don't actually need to be a drug dealer to play one on tv. Just need to make us believe you are. Same with race applies. You just need to look like you are a member of that ethnicity and act it believably to do the role.

So for me it bothers me when they have a person who clearly looks white playing an ancient Egyptian. I know for a fact there wasn't no redheaded men walking around half naked getting all sunburnt in the desert. That breaks the immersion. but would i be mad if they had a dude that's half black and half korean play a Filipino? No, if he looks Filipino enough and can do a good job acting. it's fine
