I'm the same on & offline.
The same person in regards to who? As I've stated before, we are not the same people with everyone we deal with offline as we are in dealing with the people of this online community. In other words, you do not share the same thoughts you share on here with random strangers offline. And that's what the people of this community basically amount to, a bunch of strangers. So my question is, how does the anonymity afforded to you by this forum of conversation affect the way express your thoughts here? How do you go about choosing the boundaries you apply?

Every opinion I express on social media, I express offline. In that sense, nothing changes for me.

But I don't share every thought and feeling I have with everyone online.
Just as I don't share every thought and feeling I have with everyone offline.

What's cool about social networking sites isn't the anonymity, it's connecting with people who have interesting viewpoints.
The anonymity is more an online manifestation of privacy than anything else.

What level of thought would you share with people here tho. Like for instance, if your walking down the street you share your face and the thought of how you wanted to present it and your body with the world with the people you come in contact with. That may be the only thought you share with those people. If one of the people you share those thoughts with were to come to you and ask your thoughts on taking it up the ass you may decide you dont want to share your thoughts on that to them, express that and keeping it moving.

What im basically saying is that the varying levels of anonymity you have with people affect the thoughts you can choose to share with them.

So my question to is, what level of sharing does the anonymity you afford yourself on this site make you feel comfortable in regards to sharing your thoughts?

A coworker? more intimate?
