Mos should've released a lot more material PERIOD

Yeah he's a lazy mahfukka, dropped two classics in two years, then waited 5 years to drop some weak shyt.

Hopefully we get that Mos and Mannie Fresh album but shyt seems to have disappeared right quick.

I hate to say it because it has some of my favorite/the best tracks ever, but I feel like it's somewhat overrated as an overall album. I feel like the whole middle section of the album is weak and I end up skipping over it all.

I don't care for any of these tracks

Brown Skin Lady
B Boys Will B Boys
KOS
Hater Players
Yo Yeah (skit)

And that section really prevents it from being a great album front to back, and just puts a big dent in it.

The other 7 tracks are :blessed: though, so idk. Maybe not overrated, but just has some really weak points to me.

A dope album, but not a 5 mic classic

I think Black on Both Sides and Reflection Eternal were both better albums

Still, it had several classic songs and it gave us a glimpse of what they could have achieved. If they released a follow-up around 2000-2001, it could have been amazing.

I agree

(except I love Brown Skin Lady ... on the other hand, I didn't think "Children's Story" was anything special)

Both Black on Both Sides and Reflection Eternal were more consistent (and more ambitious!)

Apparently Children's Story was a Puffy diss :patrice:

I don't 100% buy it though - just seems like a diss to producers and the rap game in general.

I hear you on B Boys and Hater Players, but Brown Skin and KOS are classic to me. Album is not perfect, but I'm still calling it a classic.

got heavy spins back when it dropped. such a breath of fresh air, basically rawkus couldn't be stopped back then. all the albums were straight flames.

I'd go as far as to say the album is still to this very day a breath of fresh air, it's stood the test of time. :obama:

It has that gritty NY sound but it sounds CLEAN.
