Aka atl?I'll never move to the boonies. I need a 250k+ city with at least a 25% black population
Raleigh NC is an example of a Edge city...I've heard this term years ago, but I never been to one nor have I figured out what makes one an "edge city" so to speak.

Too small and not busy enough to truly be the city, yet too big and too busy to be the burbs.
An edge city will have bodegas, a hood section, lots of the food options and usually a huge mall and commercial buildings but also has suburban qualities and areas.
?????????!!!!!!
Coli Brehs from DFW metroplex, What the hell would qualify as a Edge City using this nikka's definition? That just sounds like another suburb to me.
By @Bishop KG Dinero logic. I guess it would be the Cedar Hill and Desoto area.
Edit: Arlington would probably be considered an "Edge City".
Actually Arlington is a decent example of an edge city
Edge City just seems to be an Immediate Suburb & the OP just doesn't want use word suburb.Edge City just seems to be an Immediate Suburb & the OP just doesn't want use word suburb.
The suburbs are mad boring. Especially if you're black. Being surrounded by nothing but cacs 24/7 who do nothing but walk their dogs and cut their grass. Everything closes @ 10pm. Its just too organized for me. I would love to live in a big city being surrounded by diversity, never seeing the same type of person twice!!!
I live in a diverse suburb. Non-Hispanic Cacs are only 36% of the population.By @Bishop KG Dinero logic. I guess it would be the Cedar Hill and Desoto area.
