There's always at least one surprise team (oftentimes even a playoff participant) every year. Can't always say that in baseball or basketball. Hell, even in the championship game there are major upsets. The Giants beating the Patriots was way less of a big deal than say the Warriors losing before the Finals.

You could probably name all 16 playoff teams with their seeding order for the upcoming NBA season right now and be mostly right, and a lot more accurate than you would be for the 12 in the NFL without even trying the order
