How does the SEC recruit so well?

I understand the HS pipeline already gives certain schools an advantage at getting top recruits if players want to stay somewhat close to home but most want to get away from home right? Big 10 might be because of the weather but youd think PAC 12 and ACC should be getting more top recruits. If you're a highly recruited player and get a choice of Tuscaloosa or Southern Cal, Miami or Oxford, MS. Plus you have to wear your uniform anywhere you go off campus in some of these places or you might get arrested
