How does True Grit compare to No country For old men

They are both really good movies and the Coen Brothers did a great job making them but aside from the Coens and Josh Brolin there is really not much of a common thread between the two movies.
NCFOM was a hell of a lot more depressing.

Found 'True Grit' very disappointing, considering it was the Coens. Worth watching nonetheless.

i loved true grit, although it might be because i loved the original with john wayne and consider it a classic. it was just a newer and polished version for me

no country for old men is better though

yea, thats what i liked about it also. if i remember right the old flick was set in the summer the whole time..it never went into the winter. and that dude with the bear covering never came out in the old flick..

its been a couple years since i seen the old flick and the new one..but yea i loved the newer version..they both classics to me

I think both of them are boring as hell. But I can tolerate No Country because they got a n!gga with a Beatles cut murking fools with compressed air.
