How Dominicans see their African Heritage

I don’t really understand why we would expect a group of people that is highly mixed and had a totally different colonizer than us to identify the same way as us.

I can very easily tell the difference between a black American and a Dominican, even the dark ones.

It’s always been strange as fukk to me how many FBA claim to be able to spot a “tether” but all of a sudden when it comes to mixed race Dominicans there’s no difference.

You got an entire community of nikkas online denying being from Africa and claiming the TAST never happened but yet we are worried about Dominicans not adhering to an Anglo ideal of race.
