Seriously, I'm wondering about this. What if you were convicted of a serious charge and you had an option of fleeing the country to an island nation like Haiti or Cuba or Jamaica (not necessarily has to be the Caribbean, just seem like those countries are the easiest to flee too) before sentencing? Is it possible? What about the logistics? Anything else?

If they don't take your passport you could prob sneak out
Just my guess, but I feel like it would be better to sneak into either Mexico or Canada first and from there finding a way to go to a country with no extradition.
It still would be hard I'm assuming if you're fleeing you would do so because of a long sentence. So not only the collateral for bail would be high and a friend or family member would probably have to sign and accept responsibility, you would probably also have some sort of monitoring device on you.

Bruh i ain't going nowhere. I'll staying home. They can come get me. Life of running all over the world and get caught by another nation will put you in a deeper dilemma. Imagine going to west Africa n get caught by them. Now you in a shytty ass jail with no human rights protecting you. I'm good. Lol

Nothing would work especially if your black , Most countries would would fold and give your ass up for the US, .... only countries I know of that don't fold is Russia and North Korea
