How exactly is "The Black Community" so "homophobic"?

Can we get to the root of this? Where did this narrative start? How is it that black people, and black men on particular, get casted as the most "homophobic"?

When I was younger and went to church it was obvious most choir directors were homosexuals yet nobody made a big deal about it.

Go to any school and look at the band or women's basketball team, nobody made a big deal about it.

You don't see black people refusing to buy Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo and Calvin Klein because of their sexual orientation.


I'm sure we can think of other examples. But if anyone can prove to me that black people are any more "homophobic" than any other race I'll conceed to the facts. But I'm seeing this narrative pushed a lot more on and offline yet nobody brings facts. Everyone just says "black people are the most homophobic because nikkas ain't shyt" and everyone just

i grew up in a small town in mississippi
