How exactly is "The Black Community" so "homophobic"?

Quoting this so everyone can read it.

White people passing anti gay laws for centuries and even classifying it as a mental disease, but black people are the one's holding homosexuality back :patrice:

Aight :skip:

Hell look at the immigration act of 1965. They literally had in it for a while that gays could not immigrat to the USA. But leave it to America they will tell you blacks are the root issue for gay people.

This chick Im dating is heavily involved in her church and she kept talking about her "church homeboys" which raised some eyebrows on my part. She had a get together at her house and had me come.

All her "church homeboys" were gay af and asking me if I had any gay relatives that looked like me:why:

I took my plate to go:dame:

Because the media's view on black people is 99% inspired by rap lyrics.

As I've said before, we gotta stop letting white people tell us about ourselves.

I'm not buyin that. The most homophobic & sexist mainstream rapper I can think of is Eminem yet Caucasians love him.

And nikkas promote Ralph Lauren and other homosexual clothing designers, shoe designers, music producers etc.

Yeah fashion and looking good has always been seen as womanly in other cultures yet it has literally been instrumental in african culture and modern black culture for centuires.

Africans literally taught europeans how to dress and till this day black men dictate popular fashion on a global scale.

What laws black folks pass in america to opress anyone?
This says less about the general attitude towards gay people in the black community, and more about how few of us are in positions of power.

Anyway, to deny that homophobia is an issue in the black community would be to deny that misogyny is an issue in the black community. At the root of homophobia is misogyny. Dudes hate gay men because they hate women!

Blacks have va different way of communicating than whites, so a lot of how we speak is misconstrued.

That's partly why these BLM people seem so weird to black people.
This is real talk. People say shyt like "its hard to be black and gay", "its hard to be a black nerd", "its hard to be a black atheist" etc etc...dog its hard being black PERIOD.

But at the same time its not complete misery like people would have you believe either, its just in our communities we have to deal with the bullshyt that life gives us out in the open. We don't hide anything...

Like Day Day from Next Friday said "You see how we live?? We live RAW, We live ROUGH"
