ranks higher than reasonable doubt

Reading a number of posts in certain threads, It is clear that many rate this album as the best of the new generation. However, some posters are saying it's getting overrated in the drake vs Kendrick thread. So, as a measure of how great it is, i'll list ten great to classic albums over the past, say, 20 years and you can comment on which of these albums GKMC is better than:
1 Me against the world
2 It was written
3 Reasonable doubt
4 Stillmatic
5 The blueprint
6 The chronic
7 Illmatic
8 The black album
9 College dropout
10 Ready to die
It will be interesting to see which albums people see as better than GKMC(or not) out of that list.
Thoughts?

its tough to say at this point... i'd ask the question again in a few years because i can't judge an album as classic after only one year. so far it's been very good, i'd put it ahead of BIG and tupac's albums, although i'm not as big a fan of them... To me it's right around Trap or die 1/TM101 or GRODT level
If u have 2 these albums that should let u know where it stands. I've never seen born sinner, cole world, ambition, the gifted, live from the underground, rolling papers, onifc, careless world, long live ASAP or albums that should be thought of GKMC peer even mention with albums of this kinda quality. So to be able to make this thread and its not comical lets u know that it's a classic
some cats drop such a wack second album that it really makes the one before it seem so much better...or vice versa...he could blow it out the water![]()
Better than MATW, The Black Album, and College Dropout. Better than The Chronic maybe but it doesn't have nearly the impact or the longevity yet so it could go either way.
Everything else on that list I'd listen to over it. Plus I'm one of those who like Section.80 a little more.
I think I agree with what you're saying here. I don't understand all sentences you've written here, but I fully agree with the last sentence. True words spoken!
Sig-worthy, if I didn't already have one.
