Never really watched his standups, but I'm about to do that now. Was in the GOAT status and respected in the likes of Katt Williams, Chappelle, and Patrice O'Neal? Or was he flabby n sick like Steve Harvey, Cedric, Wanda?

I never really watched tv as a kid or teen.
And a lot of times, you watch what your parents watched. Chappelle show I only watched because of my uncle.If Bernie died in 08, that means I was just a teenager.

i hate using the word overrated but it definitely fits with katt williams....
he is nowhere near Chapelle not even close....

Sometimes I need to remember not everyone grew up like me. I was watching standup as a KID. I was just a child, but I knew how big Eddie was in the 80s. I remember Martin on House Party, hosting Def Comedy Jam and getting his own show. I remember Bernie on Def Comedy Jam. Even though I didn’t watch his stuff, I even remember how big Andrew Dice Clay was as well. Richard Pryor was obviously before my time, but I remember him too and knew he was a legend. Red Foxx. All the legends. Of course Bill Cosby, but Cosby Show was still going on when I was a kid, so he was still very relevant.I never really watched tv as a kid or teen.
