How good would Yao Ming be if he played today?

How many players period are doing it at that level? But I mean Cousins a few years back before the injuries....Luka if you wanna include guards.
Not saying it’s the norm, just that those players are proof positive that sloths can eat today if they have the right skillsets
*Slow players can do it if they're extremely skilled on the offensive end* is what I'm hearing from the examples that you guys are giving.

No it wouldn't:gag:

Boban gets starter minutes but yao would be relegated to the bench
:mjtf:

Just admit this new league is watered down instead of juelzing every which way:laff:
How's the league watered down when there's more talent spread across all 30 teams than in any other point in it's history?

Yao would get ran off the court. Those SSOL Suns used to have Shaq and Yao on the bench earllly. The whole league plays like that now. I’d just be Pick & Roll to death...:francis:
:patrice: You know you still have to guard them on the other end and you only get 6 fouls per player. You're presenting an argument as if Phoenix were actually winning those games.

Shaq wasn't slow and plodding on the court until he got old. Yao wasnt either until injuries caught up with him.

Yao would be a problem offensively with his size and skill but due to his inability to guard in space and the stress on his joints he would be on minutes restrictions or often injured.

Teams would target him on the P&R and with stretch bigs he would be most optimal in a 20-25 minute role.

He would get that same 25 a night that he was starting to get on the regular before the injuries started to happen. I think he would probably get a couple more boards a night simply because they shoot more than they do back when he played. But i won't say more than 10 or 11 a night because he wasn't a great rebounder for his size and height. Probably would get the same 2 blocks a night that he got back then as well too. He would definitely shoot at least 4 or 5 3's a game with ease too if not more.
