Ted is the worst simp on television in recent memory. Dude wasted like 15 years of his life trying to figure out his he wanted Robin. He let his homie smash and everything but didnt say a word cuz he wanted Robin to be happy 
....Ted's had plenty of times to 
Robin but it took his wife's death to realize he still wants Robin. Ted is a terrible Human being and even less of a man

After these years... the mother was really an afterthought for me. It was always Ted & Robin and the group and the group dynamic. The mother really kinda came off as a dead overseer of sorts being channeled by a widower who's narrating. Predictable a$$ niccas, but maybe it's only right. 
Now that I've had the chance to let it sink in, I'm comfortable with it. Of course they took the cheap way out with TM dying, but how else could've ended?
Let's not forget that Ted was totally happy with TM and completely involved with her. Their TM banter was great. But also, have you NOT been paying attention to Ted for the past 9 years? Robin would always be apart of his his heart in some way.
