Use Firefox with Noscript
This. I still have McAfee too for real time scanning. Haven't had a virus in years.

Noscript is the truth. It's the only reason I solely use FF

I still recommend an antivirus suite though. You can never be too safe. Especially if you download a lot like I do.

About noscript? It's a Firefox add on that blocks all flash and Java (how one gets viruses normally). You have to manually okay sites and videos. It's tedious at first, but you get used to it. HIGHLY recommended, especially if you go to shady sites

Bless for the explanation.

That does sound a bit tedious but don't many sites use HTML 5 rather than flash now?

I don't trust anybody. I bit the bullet and just got a subscription to ESET. It hasn't picked anything up yet, but it did stop some shyt because I made a typo when typing in a URL. Better safe than sorry :manny:
