Because nobody is holding his feet to the fire for his terrible response to the virus.
Because nobody is reporting that he was fukking around for at least a month and even after he started taking the virus seriously he didn't take correct steps to address it.
I agree but it is political suicide to politicize this event while it is still ongoing.

Because MSNBC is interviewing George Takei about how insensitive calling it China Flu is instead of sending reporters to NY hospitals and getting first hand reports/interviews about shortages.

Because Pelosi and Schumer don't have a plan, charisma or willingness to get in front of this and take control of the situation.
The Senate/House + local government are definitely picking up the slack from poor decision-making from the top. What do you think they should do? Their goal is to save American lives. Are they not working in a bipartisan manner to pass legislation to aid Americans? I don't see how drawing more attention to Trump's ineptness will do anything outside of make them look petty and partisan. These are unprecedented times. Until we are in the clear, we need to work together.

Because unless you post on The Coli or personally follow AOC or Rashida you wouldn't even know that Democrats even care if people get any kind of support. All you see in the media is Trump's plan or McConnell's plan.
That's why they call it the Bully Pulpit. It's hard to get a message out when the president is doing ad hoc daily briefings televised on every news network.

Because Joe Biden is the laziest Presidential candidate in history of Western Civilization.

Because The Coli 'progressive' posters cheer and gloat when actual progressive candidates lose to neo-liberal shill incumbents who have no agenda or ideas besides status quo and being moderate.
Bold generalizations.

I'm sure no one on here thinks he's done a good job (i don't)

This polll was a perfect move by Disney.

Disney is losing money daily. Washington does not want rhem toget bailed out. Disney+ got cancelled in several countries and Netflix actually went to India and France and alledgedly paid money to block Disney.

Disney losing money on sports venues being closed. Leagues cancelled. No ad revenue.

They been buying back shares of their stocks but thats not a long term strategy since we have no control of the virus.

So what do Disney do ?

Inflate Trumps ego by polling 521 people and most of them white and older. To this day they refuse to release the demographics and any info on the poll.

Its a nice chess move but I expected them to play nice to Trump to get some money.

This some of the worst bullshyt line I've ever heard. Trump was still downplaying the virus until over a MONTH after China called the alarm on it. What would China calling the alarm earlier have done, given him two months to downplay it?

From the beginning he wasn't listening to China, he wasn't listening to experts. He didn't do shyt until well-known Americans started catching cases and things were getting shut down by their own management and people were dying.

How can you blame the Chinese for not sounding the alarm when you ignored the alarm? That's like cops telling a victim, "Well, it's not our fault, you should have called 911 earlier" when they didn't respond to the 911 call anyway. :mjlol:
Given the rest of the world a warning and sporting chance at slowing the spread :what:
Turn the trump hate down for a second and look at the bigger picture. Had China sounded the alarm earlier many people around the world may still be alive.

The narrative that the president of the US didn't know China was lying when most (all?) US media said we can't trust their numbers is nonsensical. We have NGOs and spies and satellites and a bunch of other means to figure that out. That's why it's no surprise that Trump was briefed on the possibility of a pandemic back in January:

It's not as if Trump did all he could, or much to prepare the country for a possible outbreak of it here. Its more like he tried to tighten up the border a bit and thought that's all that's needed nothing will happen.

Are you suggesting he couldn't have gotten with the officials that were briefing him for over a month and got a worse case scenario and even partially prepared the nations medical suppliers and hospitals so they had much more equipment than they do now?

You can't in good faith make the argument he needed more time when he didn't maximize the time he was given. It's like saying you needed more time to write a term paper you started writing the morning it was due but you had over a month to write it.

This randomly (surprisingly) popped up in my Google News feed.

Fox News is reposting Rachel Maddow essentially unchallenged and with comments turned off. I hate giving them clicks but it was interesting given that she is pretty concise and often gets her point across if you pay attention long enough:

MSNBC's Maddow wants Trump kept off TV, blasts 'fairytale' news briefings

They also posted the video footage from her Twitter as well. Small but....interesting

It’s fear of him winning

Cause the media gives him free reign and doesn’t challenge him. It’s disgusting.
This is nothing new for over several years now. The only thing new is the energy flourishing recently from some in here not so subtly hoping he wins.

Im saying had China raised the alarm sooner, before December 2019, the world would have had more time to prepare.
Nowhere in this thread did I say Trump would have acted sooner... although i dont see how giving him more time to get his head out of his ass is a bad thing.

I live in the United States of America. I'm not criticizing what the world did I'm criticizing what my government did. What My country's president did. This thread had nothing to do with the rest of the world's response. That should and can be debated but this is about Trump.

Trump can say all he wants about China but he knew since January and didn't do shyt. He still hasn't done shyt. He figures blue states are hit the most and he can drag his feet. The man thrives on chaos and has no empathy. His base will cheer him on even while the corona virus takes their loved ones all while blaming China.
