Yeah 35 years ago :unimpressed:

20-25 years ago Detroit had 1.5 million residents...Detroit and the surrounding cities dependent on the auto industry...since then they have slowly adjusted to the tech world..problem is the people haven't so that's why you have the plant or die life in the inner city while the subs and downtown adjust..the inner city won't ever come back cause there's nothing for a resurgence..but the outer subs remain some of the most richer areas in the US(Oakland County)..great lakes, UP, etc..but blacks and the plant life or die is part of the reason(drugs as well) you see these abandoned houses, no hope areas...the city and Wayne county need to just take the loss and tear down these homes and have 1k checks for those who claim afterwards..

As a comparison dudes wanted to get into the plant and retire, not happening anymore..now dudes hope that Amazon opens more next day delivery plants...they have opened 2 new ones around Metro airport, that's the new tech/manual life that replaced the automotive life..

nikkaz see one hood and act like it’s a 3rd world.

Downtown, midtown, new center, Mexicantown, UofD area and the livernois strip, Indian village, Palmer woods. Many great neighborhoods in in the city

It’s getting better, but it’s still got lots of parts in the city that’s 3rd world looking fasho

Ain't shyt in Detroit but open lots and abandoned houses :dwillhuh:

I think that's a narrow-minded view of looking of looking at Detroit if you not from here looking at the city if you're an outsider.

Born and raised in Detroit a lot of the population started declining around '08-09. Which left abandoned homes. You have to look at all the stuff Detroit has been through '67 roits (before my time), Devil's Night, Mayor scandal, public schools getting closed like crazy etc.,

Even with all that said there are some nice neighborhoods in the city but a SLIM few. The problem that I have with the city is that a lot of money has been put into the downtown area as far as the casinos, restaurants, & sports arenas are concerned but most of the neighborhoods still look like shyt. If you find a nice home in a good neighborhood in Detroit it's probably an abandoned house next to or across from it. Detroit has its good & bad but a lot of work still has to be done.
