How is everybody doing with regards to saving 10,000 for the year?

At the beginning of the year somebody made a thread challenging us to try and save some money before the year was out. It was quite popular and a had a lot of good advice...


Are we still doing this? I'm at 11,500 now after working mad overtime. Hopefully I can hit 20k by the end of the year...

I'm on my way though. Got a new job that came with a 8k+ raise. Also managed to pull an extra 1k I wasn't expecting out of old job.
Gonna hit 10k by EOY and already know what i'm gonna do with it.

Won't get anywhere close to that. Didn't have a tax return this year because of a small mistake that costed like 5k a a a a an an an annnd I'm paying for everything with a full time and part time job

Vegas and some clothes took a hit to it, but I'm all right. Should be around 20k when it's all done this year

Clearly none of us broke people have posted in this thread yet. I'm looking more towards 5k. if I didn't have a car note I could do 10 k easily. Back to school is going to kill me too. The life of a parent.
Edit: I paid off about 4k worth of debt so I guess I'm good.
