How is it possible to be a climate change denier at this point?

Like reducing carbon emissions?

Please elaborate.

Yes.. Like automotive companies reducing nothing , but they get to buy carbon credits from Tesla.

Or Bill Gates buying carbon credits to offset his footprint. Why can’t he just get rid of his yacht and cars?

Or Disney. They spend billions on buying everything up, then they get to buy carbon credits because it “offsets” their footprint.

So what's the solution then? Do nothing?

We're in an odd situation. On one hand I think we'll be able to fully transition to renewable energy by mid 2030's. By that time solar, wind and battery will be so unbiquitous that we have an abundant amout of energy. EVs will be more common than gas vehicles. And cellular based meat will be cheaper and may hopefully reduce the need for a lot of animal agriculture. This will free up a lot of land which can then be used as a carbon sink. Advancements in A.I. will likely accelerate all the forementioned technologies, including carbon capture.

At the same time climate change is worse than predicted and happening a lot quicker than forecasted. I think we'll still see utter devastation in our lifetimes.

Things are gonna get worse before they get better. The worse part is that the people responsible will come out unscathed.

They are exploiting loopholes those were not ideas to stop or reduce carbon those were incentives. Just because business are exploiting them and not reducing their carbon footprint does not mean reducing carbon footprint is useless. That's standard greed and manipulation it doesn't invalidate action plans it just makes a case for more oversight. It absolutely does not mean reducing emissions is useless.

Or the people who scream global warming are taking advantage of the “rules” they help create.
