How is it selfish to not want children?

Some people are brainwashed into thinking that getting kids is what all you are worth.
Especially when they use organized religion against the broke people with weak mindsets.
then take a look at the poverty rate with single mothers as a whole up to 41% 
where black and latino women make up 48%
then there are reports that half of single mothers make less than $25,000 a year
and 45% of single mothers have never been married and 55% of single mothers have been divorced
and now people getting mad at men and women who don't want to have kids.
LOOK AT THIS STAT.. IT WILL COST U OVER $240,000 OVER 18 YEARS TO RAISE A CHILD

at this chick CrimsonTider.As far as the thread goes, I certainly look forward to having kids after I finish school, but I don't view anyone not wanting kids as 'selfish'. Oddly enough, some of the most selfish people I can think of off the top have kids.

i agree or choosing to throw that responsbility on others ala grandmothers, mothers , aunts, etc.
