This shyt is disgusting. Not sure how the GOP crept under the radar but came back to rear its ugly head to regulating women’s vaginas. I guess we need more women in government a la Tea Party (Vagina Party) style to stop shyt like this from happening.

They’ll incite riots long before the elections next year if they keep this pace up.

No they won't. Most people are social media activist. As long as they are tweeting their frustrations they think they've taken part in resistance. IMO social media while it has helped keep people informed also prevents people from taking real action.

Because so much of the country holds on to religion so deeply this isn't complicated.

I say this, since Alabama and Georgia want to force a women to carry a child to term even if she does not want to, the state has to be financial responsible for health and child care. No matter what the income of the mother is, is she be automatically covered and they should hire more child enforcement officers because the moment that baby breathes fresh air, the daddy should have to cut a check for child support. The mother shouldnt be the only person to suffer after being force to have a baby.
The craziest part is that if you even mention this type of thinking to most conservatives/pro lifers then they would spew some nonsense about welfare queens and bootstraps. This type of solution is too logical and sympathetic for a group of people who can’t grasp nuance or have any desire to help other people.
Like @AZBeauty said, if you want to ban abortions, then do it. But also support the child and mother afterwards too. Childcare, wages, maternal leave, education, stuff like that.

It’s almost as if the gop cares more about a fetus than the child once it’s actually born.
No almost about it, they don’t give a fukk once the kid is actually born. Born into poverty or have a birth defect? Tough luck kid, should have chosen a rich family instead.

It's hard because there isn't a "right" answer to the abortion issue, and it's a rare case where both sides make valid points (if you're being honest). That's why this issue hasn't gone away since R v W. I'm pro choice simply because I don't care.

Death throes of the evangelical right, I'm hoping.

This is an evangelical revival, the ten commandments will replace the constitution, you'll be able to stone your neighbors to death publicly and anyone not white and evangelical will live in chains and fear.

America will be best

Culture war over

if men could get pregnant, every televangelist would be selling their own "do it yourself" at-home abortion kit :heh:

if men could get pregnant, Trump would have had his own line of Trump Abortion Clinics in the 90's (and they would have gone bankrupt)

"So many abortions at Trump Abortions, folks. More abortions than ever. The most in history. And the best. You know, just the best. We really killed those babies good. I'm from New York, folks, we kill babies better than anybody. Believe me."
