i'd respect the nit-picking if the same logic was applied to the wwe who built their empire off of ready-made stars going all the way back to hogan, savage, piper, snuka, etc.
and those guys were way bigger than some dam ROH samoa joe.
Well TNA did 60,000 PPV buys with the first Joe vs Angle face off.
I think TNA's problem is that they took all the momentum they had with a passionate fanbase who was starting to spend money on the product and then flipped it to Russo/Bischoff/Hogan and became fascinated with ratings.....but killed the hardcore passion of the people who would spend money on it.
BINGO. and i dig the theory of hogan beeing in cohoots with mcmahon.
i was one of those buyers that moved on. and i pretty much stopped watching wrestling altogether for a few years after hogan/bischoff came thru.
they were on a major roll at the end of '09. and it was looking like the hogan/bishoff cosign was gonna put them over the top. but instead, hogan/bishoff came thru and literally tore everything down and started from scratch, while going out of their way to be blatantly disrespectful to the fans.
Not really. Just the documentary. AWA stuff is pretty scarce even on the torrents
