He'll get in eventually but i dont think hes a HOFer

The Hall is supposed to be for the greats, not the dudes who were good for a very long time but times have changed so he'll definitely get in soon

I am not against him going in, but there is no way he should get in while a guy like Terrell Davis doesn't

I think legitimate game-breakers who dominated, even if for a short period, deserve the nod over compilers who hung around for a long time but were never great

TD in his short career was ridiculously dominant tho. 2000 yard season. and he got two superbowl rings. plus a superbowl MVP and NFL MVP. dude was not a slouch. just his reign on the top was shorter than leprechauns.

The Passage of Time
And look at some of the QB's he played with in his prime. Defenses sure as hell weren't fearing the likes of Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart, or the immortal Kent Graham:scust:
Don't forget Neil O'donnel and Tommy Maddox.

And don't forget Jerome was a Closer. 5 or 4 minute offense and the game was essentially over.

Marshawn>>>Bettis.

Bettis from 2001-2005 was:scust: .... he really resorted to faking injuries just so he wouldn't get cut.
Faked his injury, but it benefitted the Steelers in the long run. fukked up for him to do, but he was a mentor to some good backs during that time. He closed the 4th Quarter for Amos Zeroue, Fast Willie Parker and Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala.

2005 We closed the season with a SuperBowl, based on Bettis closing games. I think we won like 4 or 5 straight games with him being a mudder, we rode that win streak to a wildcard spot, you know the rest.

IMO, Bettis isn't a surefire HOF'er. He definitely has his holes in his game and while he was very good some seasons, there were others where he struggled to get anything going at all as evidenced by his last 2 seasons as a Ram and his last 3-4 seasons as a Steeler. Hell, he struggled some before then, as he had multiple seasons where he failed to reach 4 ypc. But if Floyd fukking Little can get into the HOF, people should have no problem with Bettis making it considering he has the accolades and the career stats as well as a ring
