Honestly, Outkast isn't even a top 5 rap group.... nor are the best best duo.

To say Kast and the movement they spearheaded "Dungeon Fam" didnt have any influence is way off fam.

They were early on alot of stuff that blew up.

I can think of 3 DF members/affiliates doing well in their respective lanes...

i love wu but if we're talking music as a group outkast wins, wu tang as a organization is the best

making that distinction doesnt do Wu Tang justice though. All the great solos are RZA produced and heavy with Wu features.

i agree with u but in terms of the music wu made as a group i.e. wutang albums, vs the albums outkast made, outkast wins.

The only people who would say Outkast are GOAT group are suburban Blacks and Whites who grew up on Speakerboxxx/Love Below and went back and listened to all the old stuff.

Ya but what Im saying is, the only reason Wu's group output isnt as strong as Kasts is cause RZA wanted to expand on individual talent within the group.

OutKast is Top 10. There's not many groups you could say these things about:

- Had an incredible 10 year run (1994-2004). I'm not talking solid to classic albums, classic songs, guest spots, and relevance. This speaks to their longevity

- Critical acclaim inside and outside of Hip Hop

- Still influencing some of today's biggest artists (Kendrick Lamar and Lil' Wayne)

- Attained superstar status

- They didn't sacrifice artistic integrity to attain or maintain success (look at the name of the group. They were going to be outside of the box from the jump)

- They have the respect of their peers
