Lying is of course necessary.

When I call in work. I don't just say

I was hung over.

I make some shyt up. Here's the key. I call in enough to use the sick days they give me. I don't try to fukc off and get extra days. So ultimately the lie don't matter. I don't have kids. I don't usually get sick like that or have emergencies out of nowhere. Other people do and they need to call in for that shyt. I'm not gonna just let my days go unused. So I just call in when I feel like it (within the parameters).

And fukc the police comin straight from the underground. Tell them whatever it takes to make it shake (get them off your back).

Heres the real deal. You not supposed to lie to your PEOPS. Whoever that may be. Your clique. Your fam. Your lady. Business partners.

Whoever you supposed to be down with. Cause lying ain't just lying with fam. If you lying to your lady it's cause you tryna FUKC another chick. If you lie to your investors it's cause you wanna STEAL. And so forth.

Sin is error. If it's truly a sin it's cause it's DOESNT WORK. Your fam will be healthy if you do this, and they will be weak if you do this. If you cheat and steal and lie to your own peops then y'all not gonna be a strong unit.

Just be honest with yourself. DONT LIE TO YOURSELF. Is the lie harmless, is it for a good cause (telling your woman the dress doesn't make her look fat), or is it some devious shyt meant to cover up for wrongdoing?

Theres your answer. But you already knew.

Because you're full of pride. Pride is the beginning of sin, and what caused Satan to rebel.

Proverbs 16:18 - Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

So basically you're aligning yourself with the enemy when you sin.

God is full of Truth and Righteousness. Lying and any sin can't stand in His presence. But God made a way through His Son, the Messiah. So the Messiah took the punishment, but your only choice now is to follow Him if you don't want full punishment for your own sins. God is patient, but at a certain point every action is going to have to be judged.

I agree with @Chrishaune and @FrontoBama

I'll add my perspective though.

Proverbs 13:3: "Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin."

Choose your words wisely, be mindful of what you utter. You don't know how a lie will be taken and whether it will be uncovered that you did lie, because there are so many variables to consider in life. There's a good chance you'll be found out eventually and regarded as a deceiver/liar.

But lying also shows fear to some degree. You're a believer so you shouldn't fear anything so much on this physical plane that you're driven to outright lie. "Be afraid of the one that can destroy your spirit/soul, not the one that can destroy your body." Why do you feel so compelled, and why are you so afraid, that you are driven to lie to escape an unpleasant feeling? You are cowering to man, not G-d at that point.

Romans 2:6-8: "He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury."

The worst thing that can happen to a Christian is destruction of the spirit. You have everlasting life, so you'll live again once this avatar you call a body is dead. No need to lie to earthly, physical people.

False witness

The original term

What you say represents you … it’s your word.

Your word is your representation in the world.

You’re disrespecting yourself and in turn God by not honoring your word.

What the bible say about your slaves, again?

slavery in the bible is not "chattel slavery" of the U.S. or what Muslims have done.

Slavery in the bible was based on being in debt. You were paying off your debt, and you were released after you paid it off or at the most 7 years. Slavery in the bible doesn't have anything to do with mistreatment of people.

I don’t think it is. Did big breh even say thou shall not lie? So if a cop pull you over and ask a dumb ass question like, did you know how fast you were going (by the way, don’t ask me no dumb ass shyt like that) what you supposed to do? Tell the truth and get the easy ticket :why:

Why can’t a nikka lie? I don’t think lying is a sin like that. That’s big cappery. Obviously you should be honest in general though.

What's the point of them asking? They already got you on radar right?
