I don't know much about him, I'm old and nothing really stuck out to me when I tried

That said, I respect him for seemingly doing it himself with work ethic and feeding his fans

He doesn't seem like a clouty meatrider who is just trying to brand himself outside of rap

I'll always respect that

He’s popular but also declining in popularity if that makes sense because he’s been on the inside during his prime years he wasn’t able to tour and now that he is he can finally perform all of those songs that got him on, but his new music isn’t performing well at all. His next tours wont be as successful

I'm a backpack nikka for life (one of the biggest Billy Woods fans on here) but Youngboy's 3800 Degrees mixtape was FIRE. It got overlooked because breh releases so much music and maybe his younger fans don't appreciate the No Limit energy he was bringing on that one.

I do enjoy quite a few joints from his early projects like Diamond Tooth Samurai and Astronaut Kid. ("They say pain like meteorites" is a dope line IMO) I actually feel like you fukk with genres outside of rap like blues it will help you "get" Youngboy a bit better. It's why I fukked with Kodak too. Baton Rogue dudes got that blues energy even if they don't know it.

He's a retard for a generation of retards.

He's not the "Pac" of their generation as Pac was a political/conscious rapper, who came from Black Panther stock.

You can play Pac interviews & speeches & hear a guy who could've been a Civil Rights leader had he taken a different road.

That's not this dude :russ:
Y'all love doing this and completely disregard the fact that the reckless nikka hip hop archetype was created by Pac and is still being emulated to this day

And lets not conveniently forget all the retarded shyt Pac did

If you think there's a BIG difference then you might be retarded
A lot of geniuses did retarded shyt, bro :stopitslime:

James Brown, Michael Jackson, Van Gogh, even Malcolm X was a crash out at one point.

But they were brilliant people.

Name me ONE brilliant thing NBA Youngboy has said or done :stopitslime:
How do you know him for him to be retarded?
Have you listened to the motherfukker????

Compare that to Pac

Nobody's disregarding anything.

I literally said he DID some retarded shyt, but he was also a brilliant guy who could talk about poverty, politics, racism, police brutality, Black power, religion, & everything else.

Pac had thoughts & opinions on damn near everything that can be watched over & over again.

Pac's quoted by politicians & preachers & scholars the world over.

Yeah Tupac was fueled by a totally different kind of rage.Having a heightened sense of awareness can actually feel like a curse at times.Their was a side of Tupac that was a visionary.Soul of a wise old sage.Clairvoyant.

A lot of these new rappers are boyish. No substance.Just a bunch of drug induced emo shyt. You strip that away from them, all they can do is sit there and look at you like a dear in the headlights.A lot of these dudes won't like me saying this, but they shouldn't compare these new age weirdos to somebody who sat at the dinner table with Geronimo Pratt & Afeni Shakur.Pac had a completely different kind of pedigree.Like I said, these new cats don't have shyt to fall back on.I think Tupac was just another child of the movement suffering from PTSD.It was pretty common. His sister Sekyiwa spent two years in a depression clinic.Positive & ambitious as he seemed in a lot of his songs/interviews, deep down, he was disgusted with the world he was given and ready to make an early exit.

I get what you’re saying, but no one is saying he’s like Pac though, especially not intellectually. They’re saying he’s the Pac of their generation, it’s metaphorical . He has the same significance to them that Pac had to the Gen X generation.
