I cringed at the Pusha T being a Jay-Z biter, cause I don't see that AT ALL(His flow still having elements of "The Funeral" age Pusha T). But when you got to "Pusha T is nowhere near the level of Gucci as an emcee" That's when I realized you are either trolling, or hell I don't know....doing something. Because I can't even comprehend how you would even come to that conclusion. Featured Verse quotes? I mean yeah he might. Its hard not to stand out when your rapping with people who are wacker than you. Shining moments? I guess I'm sure he has a larger fan base. Less intellectual artist usually do, hood nikkas feel them because you can be dumb and get it.
Gucci is actually much better content wise. I will give you that. But its negated by the fact the nikka raps like the lyrical equivalent of a 2nd grader.
Recording environment hasn't been an issue for Gucci in a loooong time, so that's not even an argument.
I mean, I don't even see how you can even make the case. You could put up a Pusha T song and a gucci man song and gucci is going to get shytted on 99% of the time lyrically. Now does Gucci make more enjoyable music? Maybe, his earlier shyt. His recent shyt has been troll level worthy bad.
But I don't think the Clipse made anything as "enjoyable" as Trap House(which I believe is Gucci best Album)
But if you are talking about rap....Gucci has a few bangers. BUT he also has music that only retards could understand. like its just so awful, in every way that it baffles me someone could listen to it, let alone play it at a high volume.
pusha t, malice and most jay biters do not have jay's mic presence and versatility to style morph like jay.
on top of really never having a skill morph based mastery of advanced technical application writing rhymes like jay got from being exposed to jaz and sauce.
so, of course you may not readily recognize the biting.
as malice and pusha t, do not and will never construct verses that will be head and shoulders above even lowly skill declining jay.
shyt,..the clipse drew like gangbuster from this hard to point it out readily variable.
yet and still,...
they are jay biters as much as anyone says anyone else is a jay biter.
now, on to the Gucci comparison..
Gucci has way more mastery from a technical level of emcee'n from writing to delivery and the full gamut content wise in both their respective genres than pusha t.
Gucci's draw is not solely based on being a producter pet project, like the clipse/pusha t.
also...Gucci, never had mixing on pusha's level at all.
while, resonating at a much higher clip for a longer time period than the clipse as solo or a group.
on top of making larger volumes of submission in numerous styles of gangsta rap and content than the clipse or even pusha as a solo.
that is a fact,...
the only thing both are god awful at are actual battle rhymes and battling.
yet, and still past that........
plus noting that both are just gangsta rappers with no real clear cultural connection.
[the clipse cultural connection is from a emo marketing company and producers].
you really can not expect either to be great battling.
as gangsta rap as a genre, allows the participants to skip integral stages of development from a grassroots and skillbased level emcee'n.
all based on the fact gangsta rap is the most profitable and largest drawing genre in the entire industry of music.
so, it is to be expected they really can not battle.
as only a few gangsta rap rappers in their respective eras.
actually went through the skillbased channels of the culture.
or actually excelled when it came to battling.
so, real talk...
the clipse and Gucci would have never permeated.
if they had to go through all the real full channels of the culture industriously.
the clipse especially as they came up in the supafriends era.
where they would have gotten bodied on a grassroots level by madskills in 96-98.
when they had their first deal, on I wanna say that is ew, or warner if I remember right.
[of which I own the actual promo cd, to]
which would have never let them permeate.
as mad skills was the first definitive jiggy ghostwriter.
where mad skillz's draw helped bring the attention to their respective locale at that exact time.
that created the way they got on.
since the clipse were a gangsta rap group.
they got to piggy jump over the skillbased arena of their local scene.
so, they never had to actually be challenged or face adversity.
plus, they never learned how to body a nikka, in that capacity.
which is also...why they are not really given that nod as far as illness.
plus, pusha t looks so anemiac, in a culturall based capacity when battling.
when, pusha has the so-called skill on paper to take out weezy.
on top of having come up in the technically proficient era that should give him a W.
technically,...the clipse came up in an era where you had to have some technical application skillwise.
all because the bpm base of rap had changed to elongate the standard syllables used to stay on key.
yet, the clipse are not well versed as advanced technical marvels.
nor are they that ill where they can hold the attention of people who expect more and already heard better.
since, pusha t is now marketed by an emo firm.
the very same type of entity he piggy jumped.
pusha t has become exposed.
as pusha t, is rated against other emo based and culturally relevant based emcees.
who have more advanced technical application, are iller, have lesser resources, and are actually battle tested consistently.
that generally someone in that arena would eat, somebody.
alternatively, Gucci is a gangsta rapper from ga.
so, he is not expected nor is he held to any type of cultural significance industry wise when it comes to battling.
on top of that,..
Gucci does not false pander to the underground culturally based draw of rap.
so, he is not held accountable.
which is how the industry made it,..
so gangsta rap could outdraw all the other culturally grounded genres.
pusha t, readily created and hired the emo marketing firm.
to be ushered into a more culturally enriched drawing arena.
yet, he really does not have that pedigree to really standout, in that arena.
on top of making an offbrand version of gangsta rap..
that will never resonate with who is really his target core market.
which are gangsta rap fans...
the clipse are marketed to fool emo fans people who feel some type of way.
that there is no certain type of gangsta rapper they wanna cosign.
so the clipse are marketed as the emo antithesis and better brand than typical gangsta rap.
which is how the false bias is created.
that people into that genre, falsely believe pusha is better as an emcee than Gucci.
when, real talk..
most emo listeners do not listen to anything out of that cultural genre.
plus, are not experts on any artist out of that genre.
which is readily and easily seen when an emo fan tries to say pusha t is better than Gucci.
when Gucci is definitely better than pusha t, in every possible way in their real actual genre.
which is gangsta rap...
it is just bias and the misperception that pusha is more about the culture.
which is all created from a marketing firm is misleading.
plus, some real sellout shyt,..as real talk...
pusha t really does not know rap well enough historically as a listener.
to tell you the significance of how emo rose to prominence.
like any person who really is emo will easily be able to tell you.
when the convo is focused distinctly on the rise of emo as a genre.
pusha and gucci, are of the same mold.
yet, pusha is of lesser skill, and relevancy than Gucci mayne.
when judged by what the gangsta rap genre fans and even emo fans view as acceptable.
to the point, even the emo fans the clipse are marketed to.
will not readily defend or cosign pusha t as this elite gangsta rap emcee.
in comparison to Gucci mayne, who is probably the top drawing skilled solo grassroots real gangsta rap marketed artist.
