Ryan Garcia has a lot of work to do before he should step into the ring with the elite. I aint even a big De La Hpya fan like that, but it's crazy how much more developed he was at that age than Ryan is, them comparisons need to stop.

He gone get ate up ny elite fighters. That's basic fundamental footwork.

ryan is gifted athletically and for the most part it has been masking his flaws...the flaws have been there but his recent couple of fights were one round knockouts where there wasnt enough time for him or his opponents to expose his flaws..since they were highlight reel most kinda forget him struggle with velez or the jobber after that

he is young so he has time to correct them but not a whole lot of time to do so if ppl are asking him to fight the big dogs and notables at 135

absolutely...oscar is from a different boxing generation where the fundamentals were drilled into you over and over....there is no real boxing comparison between them

For all the dikkeating the commentary was doing I thought they did a good job of being honest about all his flaws :ehh:
Personally I think he is the 4th most talented out of the 4 young 135 guys. The Tank fight makes sense cause it's both the most money and maybe the only fight he'd had a chance to win.
TBS with Canelo, Oscar, Bernard, Reynoso and whoever else being near his camp you have to imagine he'll improve by the time he gets to his prime

I don't even know if Ryan Garcia would beat Robert Easter Jr. right now if I'm keeping it 100 with you. His intangibles are good, he answered those questions to me, but man if someone don't get him in there with somebody who will teach him how to tuck his chin, move his feet properly, and keep his damn hands up... or hell have any kind of defense at all, he aint gonna be the next Golden Boy. You don't have to move your head or dance all the time to have good defense, but Ryan looked like he didn't even care about defending himself in there with Campbell.

Young De La Hoya bounced a lot too.

Garcia doesn’t bounce at all.

I’ve heard comparisons but different styles imo.

Oscar threw on the bounce in and bounces out.

Garcia throws on the step in.

That was champion shyt. He got knocked down and got right up and came at him. I just think if he was facing a real champion in there, and not a gatekeeper, his hand speed and power wouldn't be able to make up for his flaws.

yup. because of that I cant really hate on him, but breh def has room for improvement. Social Media aside he seems to be a discipline fighter when it comes to training, hopefully breh picks up more skill but cause he is good for the sport.
